The Second Vietnam-Singapore Board Forum: Successful growth strategy implementation in the new normal

Continuing the success of the first Forum 2021, the second Vietnam – Singapore Board Forum 2022 (VSBF 2022) with the theme namely Successful Growth Strategy Implementation and Incorporation of Sustainability into the Heart of Business Strategy will take place on upcoming May 20 in Hanoi.

It has been more than two years since the pandemic occurred and governments and enterprises of all countries, including Vietnam and Singapore, have transitioned to the state of safe adaptation, flexibility, and efficiency, gradually recovering, building momentum, accelerating, and growing in a sustainable ‘new normal’.

At this stage, successful growth strategy implementation in the ‘new normal’ is becoming an increasingly important priority for boards and executives across Southeast Asia. In parallel with the “New Normal”, “Sustainable Development” has been recently brought up, especially since the COP26 Conference in November 2021.

Inheriting and promoting the success of the first Forum held in October 2021, VietStar Training and Consulting JSC (VIETSTAR) and Singapore Management University (SMU) will jointly organise the second Vietnam – Singapore Board Forum. This year’s forum will focus on the theme: Successful Growth Strategy Implementation and Incorporation of Sustainability into the Heart of Business Strategy.

The key contents of VSBF 2022 include Investigation of Asian Strategic Business Environment, Successful Growth Strategy Implementation, Incorporation of Sustainability into the Heart of Business Strategy, and Integration of Sustainability Principles into Strategy.

VSBF 2022 will attract numerous senior leaders from Vietnam and Singapore. In particular, from Vietnam, the Forum will welcome the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Vo Tri Thanh – Chairman of Vietnam National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong – Chairman of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), and leading enterprises in Vietnam.

From Singapore, there will be the presence of Mr. Lim Boon Heng – Former Singaporean Cabinet Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office of Singapore, Chairman of Temasek Holdings, VSBF Advisory Board; Mr. Eddie Tritton – Executive Director – SMU, VSBF Co-Director; Mr. Wong Kim Yin – Group President & CEO of Sembcorp Industries-Singapore; Mr. Fock Wai Hoong – Managing Director of Temasek Holdings-Singapore. Dr. Simon J.D. Schillebeeckx – Strategic Faculty of Singapore Management University, Founder & CSO of Handprint Tech.

The first Vietnam-Singapore Board Forum attracted more than 50 senior leaders of leading Singaporean and Vietnamese corporations to discuss how to maintain growth in times of crisis and challenging context.
