Engaging Senior Leaders

Since its first successful organization in 2021, the Vietnam – Singapore Board Forum (VSBF), co-organized by VIETSTAR Training and Consulting Joint Stock Company (Vietnam) and Singapore Management University (SMU) has positioned itself as a pioneer forum in the region on sustainable development and is held annually.

After 3 years, VSBF has made its imprint and become a prestigious regional forum where leaders from Vietnam, Singapore and worldwide share experiences and initiatives on: Energy Transition; Green Business Building Opportunities; Integrate sustainability into the core of business strategy; Best Corporate Governance Practices; Accelerating the green transition through finance.

As per the experts and leaders participating previous forum, VSBF has successfully completed its mission of promoting sustainable development, assisting companies to seize and apply pioneering solutions, thereby opening many growth opportunities. In particular, VSBF not only receives high appreciation in Vietnam, Singapore and Southeast Asian countries but also expands its influence beyond Asia with the participation of leaders from world’s leading organizations such as: Temasek Holdings, Sembcorp Industries, General Electric – USA, UNOPS – United Nations, Speakers from Government agencies, the World Economic Forum (WEF), major Universities and leading institutions across continents.

Leading for Tomorrow

Following these successes, VSBF 2024 continues to bring a peer leadership forum with the theme “Leading for Tomorrow: Pioneering Green Business Solutions”. The forum will be held on May 24th, 2024 at Pan Pacific Hanoi Hotel.

According to experts, the Net-zero transition journey has been an inevitable and irreversible trend to meet market requirements. This journey will reshape the economy, opening new markets and imperiling others.

Over the past year, Vietnam’s Government has actively implemented many solutions, focusing on perfecting mechanisms and policies – the first and most important step in implementing Net-zero commitments. Accordingly, Vietnam has issued Decree No. 06/2022/ND-CP on Mitigation of Green House Gas (GHG) Emissions and Protection of Ozone Layer; Decision No. 01/2022/QD-TTg promulgating the list of sectors and establishments emitting greenhouse gases subject to greenhouse gas inventories; Decision No. 888/QD-TTg on approval for Scheme Setting Out Tasks and Solutions for Implementation of Outcomes of the COP26; Action plan to reduce methane emissions by 2030…

However, green transition and reducing greenhouse gas emissions for Net-zero commitment is a long road with many difficulties and challenges, requiring the hands and great efforts from business community.

In the context, this year’s forum focuses on unlocking the challenges and opportunities ahead on economic instability, climate change, energy transition, green businesses, green technologies, green finance; at the same time, it is a place for peer leaders to learn from each other and consider economic trends, business sustainability and environmental factors that have impact on strategic decisions.

“Vietnam-Singapore Board Forum (VSBF) is not only a forum to share management and business solutions for growth and sustainable development, but also a place where two Southeast Asian cultures intersect; a destination of friendship, where like-minded leaders create value, promote inclusive sustainable growth while sharing responsibility with the community, protecting the planet for a greener world!”- Ms. Mary Pham Thu Hang – VSBF Director & VIETSTAR CEO.
